Hey Synnnn, good to know you are still around. I'm quite into astronomy and often try to look out for the Perseids. I don't normally go so far as to visit a dark sky venue and I haven't seen a good display for a few years, but if the sky is clear and the night is warm I sometimes remember to go out and lie on a blanket in the garden for an hour or two to watch. Blagdon sounds like a great venue to try, beautiful place. I saw a fantastic display, many years ago now, completely by accident when I happened to be outside after midninight waiting for a taxi home from a party at some remote country house. So this year's event is likely to be a good one is it? I don't think I would be able to get away with joining you in person, but I will watch at the same time as you! Thanks for the heads up.

I might be too far down in the SW to see anything, but I'll definitely keep my eyes open.

We get loads of meteorites up here but mid summer light makes it difficult to see them this time of year.........as do the scottish summer clouds!! Hope you get to see them, I think you'll do fine on a clear night away from light pollution. And I hope you're well otherwise McSynn!

I try to look every year, but mid August is not a good time - as usual it's been raining for two days!
