Once upon a time HNW was outside my comfort zone. It's amazing how fast something new becomes routine. You know, now I have that Monty Python song "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm Okay" stuck in my head. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

When I moved in to the second house if FL there was this HUGE line of 9'+ tall "cherry bushes" (I forget the correct name) along the back fence. I borrowed a friend's chain saw and within one weekend had them down to hedge height. I'm all sweaty just recalling it now! No raking leaves here. I just run over the droppings of the FOUR trees (all of which I planted) with the mower. Oh Lord.....at the end of a haunted house, 3 men n masks and flannel....and....a chainsaw chased us out. That and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.....did it for me. Seems appropriate though, i mean this time a year and all...All Hallows Eve. lol Glad you re safe and met success with the tree. Coming to this site many many winters n summers ago was me coming out of my comfort zone. Nuff said ~~~

I remember when I first drove a 24 foot truck, with 10 stick shift gears!! Drove that thing from Charlotte to Flint Michigan and back. That was pretty interesting! Chainsaws are definitely fun too!

Good for you! I hired a tree gang to cut down two 65 foot trees in my back yard because of a near disaster (I posted about it) My back yard is now open but needs landscaping but with the snow, they won't do it until spring! At least I won't have pinecone and needles to clear up next year!

Yep... chainsaws. Tell me about them. I first got my hands on one when I was 14. Cleared a couple of acres of land up at my parent's cottage. Fun and satisfying isn't it? Love chain saw when they work well hate them when they are not. Cut many tree in my life split many logs stacked and burned. Great work out for the mine and body. you look good in that flannels been so time since I read your blog glad I seen it.xoxoxoThomas

It's great to see a woman that can take care of herself and not afraid to try new things! That flannel looks amazing on you! I wish it was mine! I always enjoyed a woman walking around in my shirt the next morning. Seeing her cute cheeks hanging out as she walks around is a huge turn on! p.s. you are gorgeous!
