I think it's a little of both. 'Yes" , there is a China Virus, as there has been some sort of virus every year...... and.... "No", it's not fake, but "Yes", I think the Democrats are inflating the seriousness to crash the economy because our economy was doing so awesomely with this Presidents work. Look , according to the CDC, in the US the numbers for the average flu [not including Covid-19] from Oct 2019 to March 14 2020: 38,000,000-54,000,000 Flu illnesses 17,000,000-25,000.000 Flu medical visits 319,000-710,000 Hospitalized due to the average Flu virus 29,000-59,000 Deaths due to the average Flu virus [Oct 2019-March 2020] Nobody says anything about that. You can catch a cold... you can catch the average flu this time of year, or you can catch the Covid-19 if you come in contact with someone who has that.

This is likely due to the fact that Italy has an aging population, and the elderly are more at risk, generally. Italy still has an aging population , so with the China Flu, and the less than sanitary conditions , the China Flu is going to be worse there.

Some believe the concentration camps during world war two didn't happen. Maybe the people who is making this "fake news" got the idea from that. Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth. If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

To answer your question I do not know anyone yet as there are only 3 cases in my county known but how many people did they have contact with? virus is serious like bad flu strain. difference is more hospital visits and much longer average stay and more contageous. thanks to our goverment from top to bottom we have underpaid/slowly paid hospitals for all the services they provided for the people in our country who are too lazy to work and all our guests who sneak in illegally. now we have a hospital and supply shortage so the only thing right now is to try and stop the spread of it.

To answer your question, yes I know of two persons related to me who have gotten ill. One seriously ill (but told to remain home) in Canada, and one family member (working overseas) who had medium-strength symptoms.
