The New Normal Depends... On What You Wear... ðŸ˜Ū😎

These days - normal doesn't exist. Yet one can always create a facsimile, if you know what you're doing. And I do.

Now, you shouldn't try any of this where you live ; I am - a trained professional.

My 'new' typical day begins, as I slip on my (Amazon advertised) 'Special Anti-Viral Suit' and head out the door. That morning, a quick drive down barren streets found me at my mechanic's shop. He'd opened his doors - and happily agreed to change my winter tires for the summer ones. Except for his German Sheppard - who kept sniffing my crotch and trying to hump my leg - everything went smoothly.

When I got back into the car, I felt free... like you'd feel when you ditch your glumpy boots and put on a pair of runners - after a long winter. The car OBVIOUSLY, drove substantially faster and was much more agile. Was that simply my dormant, winterized imagination overreacting? I think not!

As I roared towards my next errand - along empty highways and through non existent rush hour traffic - I marvelled at the open roads. I'll admit that the lack of ANY gridlock on the byways of this city ( a casualty of this 'worldly bug' ), is something that I relish. Did I mention that my car was more nimble? Before long I'd arrived at my grocer.

The line up was intense yet people parted to let me through. Which come to think of it - was rather strange. I felt a sense of respect and awe from those shoppers, as I trudged along the aisles of random fruits and vegetables. And then, I noticed HER - leaning up against a bin of potatoes.

She'd come prepared, dressed - head to toe - in black vinyl and we acknowledged each other from a safe distance. I couldn't tell but I think she smiled as she asserted her website name ; "Domme De Louise". I promised her I'd check it out when I got back home.

Upon exiting with my supplies, there would be another quick jaunt to my lakeside refuge - and some quiet time. As I stepped out of my car and onto the shore to marvel at the view, others - who were there - frantically scurried back into their cars. And then... it dawned on me.

In these times (as in any) ; it's the clothes that make the man. Or is it the man who makes the clothes?

When I arrived home a zipper on my suit, was stuck ; took me an hour to get out of that freakin' thing. But besides that - everything is perfectly normal over here. Ya just gotta know how to dress.

I don't know why but I can totally see you in that suit lol I have to admit it made me chuckle out loud. So glad you got all of your errands taken care of and thanks for sharing another day in the life of Paul. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Only $40 is surprising. Of course, it would probably take a month to arrive (not being one of the "essential" items that Amazon is focusing on) and by then I don't think the weather will be very conducive to being out and about in latex.

PS I have actually seen people dressed this way at the Ground Zero nightclub in Minneapolis. One guy wears a tiny backpack with his latex suit. Cuz, you know, no pockets in the suit for his wallet.

For me, that would be an anti-viral suit and wearable sauna. What a bargain!

I'm handy with zippers btw.

Most women use Cosmo as their 'go to' reference book but I've always used Dress for Success. I believe in dressing for the job you want, not the job you have. If you had timed your outing differently, you could have used your winter tires to make your new outfit for the rubber room!

One with such an imagination, full of smiles, I thought of your statement the car was more nimble, and thought you were going to open her up on the now open road. It seems to have become a habit down here to drive with excessive speed on these now open roads, one local county reported something like 50 super speeder all in excess of 100 MPH.
But you didn't just another day in the life of "Paul"

That lake picture... at the bottom of the page?
If you click on it... and zoom towards the mountain, in the distance, on the left?
You'll see St. Joseph's Oratory - Canada's largest church which also has one of the largest domes, in the world. hovering on the mountainside.
There ya go... Tourist guidance here as well. 🍷🍷😎

That reminds of a girl I knew that wore leather pants. They were so tight, when she farted it looked like a rat running down her leg.

Ya get what ya pay for? Do you have a brand name in mind?

It WOULD be anti-viral and hot.
Only to be worn when required...
But it's not really my style. More of a joke than anything.
You know what I mean?
Zippers... what an invention. So you're good with them?

No rubber room in my horizon.
True about... dressing for success. That's worked for me.
Now about that rubber room? What's that all about?
Lol 😂 I'd take notes...

Good suggestion where the snow and ice season, isn't as long as it is here.

NOOOOO.

It is difficult enough to get into a pair of tights (pantyhose were abandoned years and years ago). Also, I don't think it's a good look on people who are a bit, er, zaftig.

Oh, we have those who take speeds to the excess. I can't say that I'm NOT guilty... once or twice.
I can see that happening here as well.
Stick to the middle of lane - and let them pass you.
It's a weird vibe here... I'll say that.
Things will get back to some semblance of normal - right? 🍷🍷👍
In the meantime... we'll adapt.

Is that near Mont Royal - seems to me it was all the same place. I visited two great aunts that were nuns there. They were both about 4 feet high, didnt speak any English but they were both loads of fun.

Both the highway and the lake pic show a glimpse of Mount Royal in the background. At the lake (Lac-Saint-Louis) ... I'm about twenty miles from that Oratory, when I took the shot.
Nuns? I know / knew a few and they were full of vim and vigour.

It's always embarrassing when my black Lab/Bernese Mountain Dog decides to give some random person a sniff. Can spark a conversation or leave us feeling forever scorned
Sitting by the water is tranquil and mesmerizing and evokes memories of happier times at my parent's cottage.
