Congratulations on achieving your one-mile-a-day goal. Best wishes for sustaining it through the ennui of relentless laps (I hope you have access to a 50-meter pool!). Given than neither of us can indulge any fantasies of making an Olympic team or winning the Ironman, we need other mental distractions. My favorite is digital books and podcasts. I would also suggest some cross-training, to inject variety and work complementary muscles, but I appreciate that is often easier said than done.

My heart goes out to bodyworkers in this post-Pandemic era. Alaska is in Phase 3 Reopening, so the industry is reviving. My massage therapist makes house calls, typically setting up in my garage (away from major cross-contamination points), use lots of anti-germ wipes and wears a mask. She also screens her clients carefully, hewing to those who exercise caution and common sense.

Every generation faces crises comparable to our current troubles. It is a galvanizing, but sadly ephemeral moment. My close friendships with African-Americans go back decades, so soul-baring is no longer required. We just live and enjoy each others' company. As Graham Greene wrote, "Humanity is hopeless. But people matter."

My optimism for *regime change* in the White House next January is rising, but there is so much damage to repair. We will rise to the occasion and the world will (once again) forgive us.

tired of getting stereotyped as a white person, just as people of color are being stereotyped for being 'of color.

yah...i think we need to start to see in the humanbeing level...otherwise, this racial thing will never be sold...i am an asian, and getting pretty tired of the corona reputation...
