Melancholy mood (or is it just sad?)

Sometimes, I just can't help myself. Having feelings for someone I can't seem reach. Or having feelings for someone who pushes me away, not because she doesn't love me anymore, but because she wants me stop loving her. Or because I know someone likes me, but will in the end eat me alive and leave the empty wrapper.....

Don't ask me how it is possible or how it works. But at times like these, there's always one song or another that will make me wish someone felt about me like the singer of the song does for that specific person she's singing it for.....

And though I'm usually quite happy, I can't help but sit down.... and burst into tears....

For you, there'll be no more crying
For you, the sun will be shining
And I feel that when I'm with you
It's alright, I know it's right

To you, I'll give the world
To you, I'll never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's alright, I know it's right

And the songbirds are singing
Like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before

And I wish you all the love in the world
But most of all, I wish it from myself

And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before

Very philosophical, Amy. And I think you are right. But it hurts at times..... Especially when people keep turning you down. Hugs, my dearest friend.

The song, in case you didn't recognize it already, is "Songbird". Christine McVie played it on Fleetwood Mac's legendary Rumours album. There is an almost heartbreaking version by the late Eva Cassidy, though.....
