Whats going on here? A couple months ago the amount of points required to chat with other members, used to be eleven and now since I have returned to this site the required points have been raised to fifteen. Is this the product of inflation?

 This site is a business. If everyone got by on points the site would soon disappear. The only reason for them to offer anything for free is as a sample to gain new paying members.

It's worth remembering that every time you get something for nothing someone else gets nothing for something.
