If things work out as planned, I may even get some today.

My walk over to vote at lunch yesterday almost didn't happen. Still scraping the packed on dirt off the floors of that unit where the carpeting itself had to be scraped up. I lost track of the time, and when I looked at my phone it was already noon. I put my tools aside and walked down the three flights of stairs and across the street to my place to grab my mask ( yeah you have to be masked to vote) Mask in hand I started my two block trek to the polling place at about the mid way point of the first block my right foot starts to hurt, I mean have to stop and want to sit down kind of hurt. Trouble was there wasn't anyplace to sit down...less I wanted to plop my ass down on the sidewalk. I pushed on ( a guy thing..walking the pain off ) Well, it worked...baby steps at first..painful ones at that...but eventually the pain subsided and I began to walk normally...well as normally as I could. By the time I got to my polling place the pain had almost all gone, though getting down the steps to the basement of the church where I vote did produce some jabs of pain. I got my ballot and finally was able to sit down when I filled it out. (Not many people voting there yesterday, as it was when I put my ballot into the counter to be counted the read out of the number of people stood at only forty-four votes cast. This was at noon mind you) As I left the place the foot seemed back to normal...Okay a slight limp. The walk back to "home"/" work "went much faster though. The entire trip too me a half hour to do, there and back again. But that left little time to eat or chill out as I normally would. Though I did manage to grab a bite before heading back to finish the job I was doing.

An interesting thing, a new sign posted on the corner stores doors when I went over after work...."Masks required unless you've had your vaccinations" Yeah like I'm going to trust that the dolts who shop there have gotten their shots? Most of the time while shopping there during the mask phase they wore the things wrong, ( noses sticking out like a cock in the wind ) or tried to slip by by not wearing one and pulling their shirts up over their noses. Thank you for easing the restrictions, but for now I'll keep my mask on. thank you. At least in public places like stores. I still have one dose of the vaccine left to go, and I've come too far now to let some twat waffle who hasn't been as careful ruin it for me.

Any who, time for me to hop into the shower....
