The start of a new pay period as well. January is half over now... closer to Spring I hope? Though the weather forecasters around here are calling for more winter and bitter cold. The laundry room and gym were messed up once again yesterday. In the middle of mopping the floors someone decides to come in and do their laundry. Why on earth people assume that it's perfectly okay to walk in over a still wet floor while I'm doing the job thinking nothing of it is beyond me. Not like I pop in on them whilst they are hard at work and start screwing up what they are doing right in the middle of them doing it. Sometimes I get the feeling I'm invisible. It's not like I'm doing my work in the middle of the day, I actually go in early so I can get things done before people come in to start doing things. But there's always some early riser trying to get a jump start and doesn't think about it or, the place might not be ready yet for me to go in and make the next mess. Job security I suppose? Though I could do without it. I have no idea of what the plan is for work today, last Friday I was sent to bag up trash and such in another vacated apartment. Believe me when I say there is no way the people living in that unit ever took out any of their trash whilst living there. ( only three months or so I'm told ) I found four of those kitchen type trash cans all over flowing with trash, five bags of used cat litter stuffed into a closet, along with an open litter box over flowing as well. But it was the empty soda boxes that had me really dumb founded. There must have been twenty or more of them, all empty stacked beside the stove, the same amount stacked beside the fridge, next to a small dresser the drawers filled with ( you guessed it ) even more of the same style boxes. Why on earth they were saving all that crap I have no clue? How someone could live in such filth .. I mean the smell alone was enough to knock a maggot off a pile of dog turds. With the trailer buried under piles of snow, I have no idea how were suppose to get all that crap taken to the dumpsters. I'll let the boss worry about that. The daughter has Monday and Tuesday off this week ( her weekend ) hopefully she'll be able to run me over to buy a new winter coat? Wednesday is supposed to get down to the minus teens temp. wise around here. I'll send her a text today and let her know I still need to hit the store before then. Well time for me to hop into my shower now......
