Intermittent fasting and the keto diet For optimum health, cognitive abilities, and longevity

I am so happy with the course I am on with my<b> food </font></b>intake. Intermittent fasting is incredibly beneficial. This is common practice among people who are aiming to be very healthy functional 0 year old Citizens or accomplish things such as an African-American lady known as the Iron Nun Who completed an Ironman triathlon when she 90 years old.

Probably the most beneficial aspect of intermittent fasting is the fact that after to 18 hours with zero calorie intake your body goes into a state known as autophagy. Where your body attacks and destroys damaged cells and makes new ones.

It is good to get rid of these damage cells as they are failing to perform, robbing energy from systems, and they can turn into cancerous tumors etc.

I commonly do a 20 hour fast where I eat all of my calories for the day within four hours and then I do not eat anything at all for the next 20 hours. The other fast I do is a 36 hour fast where I start my calorie intake at 6 AM and I finish at 6 PM and I do not eat another calorie at all for the next 36 hours.

This would not be comfortable and enjoyable if I not on the keto diet. The majority of people in America are what is called ˜Carb Addicted and this means that a person gets their energy from the carbs that they have stored in their blood and liver. There are not very many of these carbs and when your blood gets low people get irritable or unhappy and have hunger pangs.

I am not hungry when I do a 30 hour fast because I am what is called KETO ADAPTED or FAT ADAPTED which means that I have undergone a procedure to force my body to adapt to being able to burn fat for fuel which is possible because my cells have more mitochondria then people who are not keto adopted. Mitochondria is the powerhouses of the cells which create usable energy for the cells. Having more mitochondria in your cells is a very good thing and anybody can do it through the keto adaptation process. I will do another blog about this.

I have done a 60 hour fast and I am forward to doing longer fasting. Of course when I do a 36 hour fast, I stop eating at 6 at night and I DO NOT eat again until 6 in the morning two days later. During the hours that I do eat, I consume enough calories for both days. I am not on a mission to reduce my 7 pounds to anything less. I am easily able to eat two days worth of calories because 80% of those calories are fats and fats are very high in calories. My diet is rich and very healthy fats such as organic olive oil, good nuts which mean no peanuts or cashews because they are highly inflammatory, eggs, avocados, clean organic cheese and most often raw cheese.
