Have a play date for Saturday. Friends of mine from out of town are getting a hotel room and have invited me over for drinks ... plus they have included a good friend of their who they think will add to the party.

I can't abide rudeness! I know I have a very high set of standards that I follow & I'm always disappointed when I trust someone to have the same level and they let me down.
If you had made plans for someone and the night comes and I sit around waiting for that text that never comes, I'm going to be angry. If something has come up how hard s it to text saying just that ?? It's just common courtesy!
Instead I get a text in the morning saying... Good morning happy hump day!
No mention of our plans. I text back that I guess he had forgotten... Oh no there wass just a big emergency came up and worked all night on it!
I sent him a text telling him I was no longer interested in pursuing this any further and good luck in your search. Too hasty? Should I have given him another chance?
Would love to hear your thoughts. PS I'm a very busy gal and had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate this meeting.
