Sacred Ground

This is a place were people can come together to discuss just about anything from Aardvarks to Xenomorphic philosophy, Pharmacology to Fashion, Literature to Theology . . . you get the idea. Topics are encouraged to be varied and cerebral, as we’d like to keep this place out of the gutter, as much as possible. And while I’d like to say that nothing is taboo here, sadly, there are a few hard and fast rules that I will insist that people abide by, otherwise, they will be ejected from the group with great prejudice.

1. Do not post personal ads. Your profile is there to sell you, not this board. There will be a “hi, I’m new here” thread that I will endeavor to keep up and visible as much as possible, and you are to post there, first, before moving onto the rest of the threads.

2. Do not post anything that is malicious and designed to incite hostility, or your post will be removed and you will receive a warning. If you get two, I will remove you and you will be banned from the group, entirely.

3. Respect the other members of this group, and they will hopefully respect you. Remember that everyone has their own opinion, and that even if you don’t agree with it, you should still respect it. You are encouraged to post your thoughts and feelings on threads that are put up, but I direct your attention back to rule #2 and suggest that you use tact and intelligence to state your case, rather than vehemence and ill manners.

4. I am a cruel task-mistress and do not suffer fools lightly. As previously stated, I will not tolerate maltreatment of any other member of this group, and you will be removed if I have to tell you more than once to curb your tongue.

Otherwise, I encourage fun and levity. This place is meant to be a shelter from the insanity and stupidity that is prevalent in all factors of life, and I want everyone to feel welcome and at peace. The laws of life that I have learned are as thus: never take yourself, or anyone else, too seriously, otherwise, you’ll never have time to enjoy it.
