Hello to these four profiles! We need each of you to post an introduction to the group within the next 48 hours if you are going to remain here with us, because we are only interested in providing membership to those looking to participate in at least a semi-regular fashion, and that definitely needs to start with an introduction. As soon as you guys are able to get one posted, we will delete you from this thread, and once you've all posted, we can delete it entirely. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION!

Okay, those profiles were all given way longer than we'd originally stated, they still haven't posted anything, and the group's records show that they have all checked on the group in the last 24 hours, so they are all now banned. In addition to them, FrankFrani4617 was banned as well. We missed them the first time through, but they are in the same situation.
If anyone actually knows or invited any of these people, please let us know. Otherwise, they can't stay if they won't participate. The fewer potentially creepy people we have cyberspying on us, the safer this group can feel. We know that participation still isn't necessarily a guarantee that someone isn't cyberspying, but requiring it is a better method of weeding people out than doing nothing, and we simply can't do that. While several of the banned members were simply a necessary precaution, one of the profiles was a definitive fake (with another being under HIGH suspicion), and this is why it has to happen.
Sorry for those who may see this as unfair, but are we really asking that much? Once everyone at least knows who you are, the rules about frequency of posting get much more relaxed. Thanks to everyone who has cooperated already.

Once they make it on to page 2, you can only copy down the profile name and then click on the Show Banned Members option on the upper right side of the screen. After that you have to find the spot where it lets you ban a specific profile by listing the exact profile name and enter the names in there, one by one.
It's a big pain in the ass, which is why we think it's a good idea to give people a grace period of only 5 days or less before introducing themselves to a group they want to belong to. If they never make it to page 2, they are much easier to ban if it's deemed necessary. |
